Dermatologist Dr. Layne D. Nisenbaum, D.O., F.A.O.C.D helps keep Palm Beach's beautiful people looking their best. "My goal is to make people look better, not different," notes the nattily dressed doctor, whose flawless complexion is his best advertisement. Even before he began his career, Nisenbaum knew he wanted to be a physician, and chose dermatology because "it offers a bit of everything: It's a medical, surgical and cosmetic specialty. The cosmetic aspects appeal to my aesthetic sense and are my creative outlet," says the specialist, who tailors treatments to suit the Florida lifestyle.

Nisenbaum offers nothing less than state-of-the-art technologies and products. "Palm Beachers expect the best of everything, and I feel the same way," declares the discerning doctor, whose nofrills regimen consists of using an herbal cleanser, topical vitamin C gel "to stimulate collagen production," and a 30 SPF sunscreen every day.

This Fort Lauderdale native is always on the run, and especially enjoys the ones he takes with Hunter, his Springer Spaniel. Spare time is also spent on the social circuit, where he often rubs elbows with patients. "It's also nice to see them coifed and bejeweled. That I may have treated them earlier that day is our little secret," demurs Nisenbaum discreetly.
